System Development for Structured Documents
We started working on structured documents using markup languages when SGML appeared and have built up considerable expertise in this area. We also regularly develop applications needed to handle structured documents.
We develop a wide variety of structuration tools, including DTDs, structuring applications, stylesheets for typesetting and display, and content revision control systems.
In addition to developing applications for FrameMaker, we also offer XDocForm, our unique system that can produce and manage structured documents using familiar tools such as MS Word and web browsers.
System Development for Non-XML Structured Documents
Structuring documents using a markup language has many advantages such as ensuring uniformity of document structure and format. On the other hand, however, it has its shortcomings such as the rigidity of layout restriction, so if you are not looking to use your content for multiple purposes, it may not be for you.
For those clients, we can offer structuring solutions that do not use XML. An example is Struword, a unique system that allows structuring through uniform format and order of appearance without the use of XML.
It is our in-depth knowledge of XML that enables us to serve clients looking for structuring solutions using XML as well as clients who want to take advantage of structuring without using XML.
